Ukrainian Bessarabia – high-quality Ukrainian wines and local products according to local traditional recipes, unique landscapes and picturesque nature of the Danube, original Bessarabian cuisine and a warm welcome.

TOUR PROGRAM:

Day 1
Meeting of the group by representatives of the company, accommodation in a comfortable transport;
Sightseeing tour of Odessa (transport and walking) with tasting and presentation of local wines and products of the Odessa region from the project “Roads of Wine and Taste”.
Accommodation at the hotel (“3 +”, double and triple accommodation). Free time
Day 2
Check-out from the hotel. Departure from Odessa to Bolgrad.
Stop in Tatarbunary and a light breakfast at the restaurant of local Bulgarian cuisine “Sauvignon».
Moving to Bolgrad
Visit to the family cheese factory “Generous Neighborhood”, excursion with a visit to production workshops and basements where cheeses ripen in the cold. Guests will be shown the production process of cheese making, during which all operations are carried out manually. After the excursion – tasting of 8-10 types of traditional and original Bessarabian cheeses (the assortment changes depending on the season).READ MORE HERE

Moving to «Villa Tinta». A bright start to your visit will be a tasting of sparkling Tintarella on the roof of the winery overlooking the vineyards and Lake Yalpug. Further, the excursion continues in the grape processing workshop, bottling workshop and champagne workshop. After the excursion, guests are invited to the tasting room in the cellars of the winery, where they will taste 7 types of wines.

Day 3
Breakfast, check out.
Moving to Izmail.
Sightseeing tour of Izmail: visit to the old town, the Intercession Cathedral of the 19th century, walk along the Danube embankment, sightseeing, dioramas.
Moving to the wine cellar «Vinaria» . Wine cellar “Vinaria” is located in the old part of Izmail and offers local Bessarabian wine from its own small family winery, as well as traditional Bessarabian cuisine. During the tasting of 6 positions of local Bessarabian wine, a short tour of the wine cellar is held. READ MORE HERE

Departure to the eco-farm “Snails of Bessarabia». Snail Farm is engaged in the cultivation and marketing of the most popular Mediterranean snails in Europe – Helix aspersa Muller. Guests can take a guided tour of the farm and tastings with snails. READ MORE HERE

Visit to the Kolonist family winery. “Kolonist” is a premium local wines that have combined centuries-old traditions with modern production technologies. Guests will visit a guided tour of the vineyards and winery, and a classic tasting of 7 wine positions.

Day 4
Cruise excursion on the trimaran “Bessarabia” along the Danube:
08:00 – departure by m / v “Bessarabia” at 0 km of the Danube. Buffet on board (vegetable cuts, Bessarabian cheese, croissants with ham, bread, wine)
11:30 – arrival at 0 km. The landing – a walk along the coast, a souvenir photo about 0 km;
13.00 – arrival at the recreation center on the island, picnic with fish soup, wine, phyto tea. A separate plates with fish. Hot aromatic fresh-soup is served separately. To them is a plate with salamur – local spices specially designed for fish soup. Local wine “Novak” will try to reveal its secret for you – wine with strawberry flavor!
14: 30- exit from the recreation center in Vilkovo to the sea terminal
15:00 – sightseeing walking tour of the old part (bridges and masonry) of Vilkovo.
16:30 – return to the recreation center “Danube-tataru”. Free time.


Day 5
Breakfast. Check-out from the recreation center.
Departure to the “Cuba-Daleko” brinzarnya – Bessarabian center of Slow Food with its own goat farm near Vilkovo. Tastings take place in the house-museum of Lipovan (Old Believer) life. Tourists will have a short excursion into the history of Bessarabia, a story about the farm, a tour of brynzarna and tasting of local products. READ MORE HERE

Moving to the first Ukrainian family-owned winery of organic wines V.Petrov, a tour of the vineyards with a story about the history of the area and the creation of a family winery, tasting of 6 types of organic wines.

Return to Odessa.
